The story

Born at the Fluffy Cat Hotel

At the Fluffy Cat Hotel in Biot, Marion welcomes cats all year round. From that came a simple wish: to offer owners a beautiful gift for their cat.

The easy route would have been to import toys from the other side of the world, where nearly everything you find in pet stores is made. Cheap, plastic, churned out on an assembly line under conditions we didn't want to stand behind. It just wasn't us, so we dropped the idea of reselling.

We chose to make it ourselves, and to make it well: good materials, organic catnip, fabrics we love, and every cushion sewn by hand, right here in Biot. The Herbacha cushion was born. Less volume, more meaning.

In the end, it isn't the price of a factory toy, but that of a lovely gift, handmade and chosen with care, for a cat you love.

Simple, honest, well made

A 100% cotton cover

The fabric you see: soft to the touch, chosen piece by piece. The prints change from one collection to the next.

A cushion within a cushion

Beneath the fabric cover, a sewn inner liner holds the filling. If the outer fabric ever tears, your cat doesn't reach the contents right away: you have time to notice and take the cushion away. It isn't an absolute guarantee, but it's a precaution we made a point of building in.

Organic catnip from France

15 g of Nepeta cataria grown in France. Nothing else, no additives.

A natural-fibre filling

Plant fibres that are naturally water-repellent (they hold up to saliva), dust-mite resistant and free of any stray odor: the scent of the catnip stays pure. Zero polyester, zero plastic.

A gentle crinkle

A thin, biodegradable plant-based cellophane crinkle (never plastic) that rustles to spark curiosity and invite play.

In full transparency

Roughly one cat in three isn't sensitive to catnip. It's genetic, and nothing to worry about. If yours is one of the unmoved, the effect will be more subtle. That's why we'd rather tell you up front than promise miracles.

Everything you need to know

Will my cat like it?

Most cats love it. That said, about one in three isn't sensitive to catnip, for genetic reasons. If that's your cat, the reaction will be milder, but the cushion is still a lovely thing to snuggle.

Is it safe?

Catnip is a natural plant and perfectly safe. On the design side, we added a sewn inner cushion: if the cover tears, your cat doesn't reach the filling right away, giving you time to take the cushion away. Keep an eye on your cat during the first few uses, and remove the cushion if it gets damaged.

How long does the scent last?

The aroma stays active for several months. Once it fades, the cushion is still a wonderfully soft companion. To keep the scent going as long as possible, store it somewhere dry between uses.

How do I care for it?

Keep it dry, away from moisture. The cushion isn't machine washable; if needed, a light surface clean with a damp sponge does the trick.
